A day certainly not like any other
The Powell's had a unique wedding day, but not in the ways you would think. Just a day before their big day, hurricane Helen blew through South Georgia. As most of us can recall, the damage was unimaginable. Due to the storm and the hysteria effect afterwards, getting to the venue this day, took an hour and a half longer than expected. Me=pure panic. Abigail=cool as a cucumber!? When I arrived at the venue, it was like it was inside of a bubble! Not a leaf was out of place, the sun was shining not so much as a petal of the roses bushes were missing!! I was sure I had entered into an alternate universe!
The Graceful Bride and Steady Groom
When I tell you walking into this venue was like stepping into an alternate universe, Abigail and Denver didn't help that feeling. Abigail embraced me with loving arms and a tender heart. Imagine it being your wedding day, the day after one of the biggest hurricanes our region has seen in a while and you are worried about other people...a literal angel! And Denver, being the man of few words he is, was the rock that held emotions together that day. When the day started rolling it was like the Lord just stepped in and made all of our hearts desires come true!
Faithful is He
Even through all of the chaos, one thing was clear, the love these two shared couldn't be out done. Abigail is such a lively, outgoing gal! She is so fun and the perfect balance lies between her spunk and Denver's poise. The way he would glance at Abigail through out the day said it all, always ending with the biggest smile on his face. Anything she needed that day, he was there.
Abigail and Denver had just dedicated their live's to the Lord a short time before and it was evident the Lord showed up on this day. His grace and mercy was at every corner with no prayer left unanswered.
Nothing could stop this..
And by that I mean, the party! Abigail is a dancing queen and we had so much fun cutting up the dance floor! It was especially fun watching Abigail and get dad get down! Their dance to none other than "Apple Bottom Jeans" had the entire venue laughing! It set the mood for the rest of the night! We had a blast on the dance floor and you know I couldn't resist either!
The Powell's will be celebrating their TWO year anniversary come October! (I know, I'm way behind on this) And I have loved watching them blossom as a couple these past two years! With many many more to come!
